About Me

My name is Rissa Wycoco and I am a Registered Massage Therapist. I graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy and have additional training in Thai Massage from Chiang Mai Thailand’s International Training Massage School.  I am also a Certified Aromatherapist in the making. I have clinical experience in treating pregnant women, seniors, MS patients, weekend warriors, people dealing with chronic pain and people who have aches and pains from desk/computer jobs. I am a therapist who uses a blend of Eastern and Western therapeutic techniques and holistic approaches when treating.

Massage therapy is a second career for me. I used to work as project manager for a construction consulting firm.  It was a job that made sense with my architecture degree, but the daily feeling of stress and constantly running after deadlines didn’t make sense to me.

I’ve always been interested in health sciences ever since I was young, but moving to Canada and raising a family made it difficult to start all over again with an entirely new career.  I kept telling myself that “me” can wait.

After years of waiting for the right moment, I finally decided to take a leap of faith and changed my career.  I bid goodbye to my 9-5 job and said hello to choosing happiness over certainty.  Working with my hands in a different way other than architecture opened my eyes to a new art form: wellness and massage therapy.

I always knew that I was born a healer, so taking the path to massage therapy was a no-brainer. I truly enjoy being an RMT because I get to help make my clients feel better, move better and live better.  Now, I have the opportunity to take care of you and help you feel your best.

It brings me such inspiration and joy to do what I do best every day, and I hope I can do the same for you in my own little way… even if it’s just taking a few minutes for yourself to relax, refresh and rejuvenate.

Book some time with me and let’s start your journey to wellness!
